Qube Accent Chair

Qube is The Old Factory’s signature accent chair, a smart single-seat piece that marries comfort with exquisite design. Twelve (almost) identical sticks of cherry wood form the cubic frame that holds a stitched sling of hyper-resistant fabric. Qube is all about proportions and visuals, with the performance sling hanging just high enough for you to use the side panels as arm rests while still being able to slouch into full casualness. Carefully selected materials add to the blend of rustic flair with sophistication, with the square-cut logs of local hardwood, the partly visible stainless steel hardware, and the criss-crossing pattern of the assembling parts emphasising the rough-and-ready tone. The locally-sourced timber (from European cherry to white cedar) is hard, durable and subtly scented while a light protective coat makes the chair ideal for semi-covered spaces such as a gazebo or roofed terrace. Hand made by local artisans, Qube drinks from the well of tradition while bringing a fresh breath of originality to any modern home.
